Blush Tulle dress for a Tuscan Wedding

A dress fit for a fairy tale in Tuscany.
Harriett had tried on lots of similar dresses on, so she knew roughly what she wanted but couldn’t decide on the exact details that she liked and felt were flattering, so she came to me for a bespoke dress.
The great thing about a bespoke dress, is that a design is allowed to be a little bit hazy at first, we can try things out, change things up - if only by an inch - sometimes it can make a huge difference!
We can leave things on hold until the last moment, add things in or take away!

Harriett was certain on a floaty tulle skirt, with just the right amount of fullness - not too ballgown, not too streamline, and a fine lace bodice, but was unsure how the bodice and skirt should come together - if there should be a clean divide between them or if lace should trickle down to bridge them, and should there be a waist ribbon!?
The position of lace on a dress can be so important, to frame the body and maintain proportion of the figure without distortion. Harriett was initially unsure of the lace coming down onto the skirts so I added just a small amount, and some hidden under tulle layers for subtle effect, and that worked just perfectly.
The colour, Harriett had a very specific colour in mind not too pink, not too taupe or β€˜nude’, but somewhere in between, and we layered porcelain tulle over the top of the coloured silk lining, speckled with chantilly lace and crystals for the softest glimmer in the Tuscan sun.
