Wintry Blush Floral Dress for magical London Fairytale Wedding

Victoria is one of my oldest friends. We’ve known each other since we were 8 years old, and I remember the day that she started at my school in Suffolk. How strange it is to think, back then, where we imagined our friendships would take us, least of all that I would get to design a wedding dress for my beautiful friend!!

Vicky mostly let me take over her design, although she wanted a dress that was soft, feminine and floaty, and a little bit balletic. I saw her as an Art Nouveau beauty.
Vicky’s dress is made from a soft and ethereal silk satin chiffon in a warm blush colour, with an overlay in silk tulle that is embroidered at the hem in lace and daisies. The bodice is cut in a v-neck, with illusion straps so that it appears to be floating. The bodice is also covered in a soft layer of gathered silk tulle, and the neckline edged with tiny lace flowers and leaves, and with laser cut daisies designed and made especially for Victoria. Some too were applied to Victoria’s daughters dress for them to match each other.
A deep waistband embroidered with lace and scattered with daisies that trickled onto the skirt showed of Vicky’s stunning figure, and a golden ribbon which crossed over at the front waist.

I loved Vicky’s wedding look so much, and I was so pleased to be there for her!

Vicky’s flowers were arranged by Gwenda of Bohotanical., and Hair and make-up designed by (future Wilden Bride) Sabrina Lily.
