Las Vegas Elopement Wedding Dress
Creating a wedding dress for an elopement at the Sure Thing Wedding Chapel in Las Vegas.
Jo wanted a chic bridal mini-dress, and after considering lots of alternate options, we landed on a classic Chorded French Lace with a floral and scroll design.
The lace is actually a little sentimental and nostalgic, a luxurious lace that was difficult to source in this composition. The lace has a beautiful edging used for the hem, neckline and cuffs, with additional motifs embroidered into blank spaces of the sheer base fabric.
The cuffs are open to give a flared effect that extend over the hand (but not covering the ring!), with matching custom lace buttons.
The overall look is flirty, chic, neat and sweet for fun portraits at the Neon Museum infant of classic Vegas typography including the very cool Lady Luck sign.
The construction of this wedding dress is extremely particular, a very firm, sheer corset with an off-shoulder sweetheart neckline. A bodice in this style, must balanced the fit to make sure that itβs comfortable under the arm, while making sure there is support for the bust and that the sleeve stays in place. on the shoulder.
For the skirt, we wanted a perfect silhouette, a gathered puff that is delicate and subtle, emphasising the cinched waist and maintaining a cute and neat a-line skirt.
The base fabric is a sheer toned material, but the skirt has two laters, plus flash-toned lining close to the skin, so that sheer is more of an illusion.
