Chic Wedding Dress for Provence ceremony at Domaine de Blanche Fleur
I love when a bride is fully involved in her bespoke wedding dress design.
Hannah created and designed so many intricate parts and details for her wedding at Domaine De Blanch Fleur in Provence, it was natural that the dress so the the process and the experience of creating a wedding dress was part of the allure of the service, travelling across the country from the Cotswolds to visit me at my design studio in Epsom.
Hannah loved textures, and subtle hidden details, and I created for her a crushed chiffon for her, engineering the direction of the pleats according to the cut of the dress, and embroidered French lace under the chiffon for secret glimpses and texture through the day with movement and flowing of the chiffon that trails and swings in the most beautiful way.
Hannah’s wedding dress is accessories with textured tulle lace gloves, with a frilled and flared cuff, and a crushed chiffon neck scarf that trails and flows elegantly alongside the train.
Hannah also commissioned a personalised veil from Rebecca Anne Designs which features embroidered handwriting from the brides grandma, a special message for the wedding day.
The shape of Hannah’s bodice is a defining moment of current wedding dress trends , a Basque waist with an exaggerated v-shape, and a scoop neck with pointed wings and the bust, draped in hand-pleated chiffon to match the skirt, with raw, frayed edges for a softened hand-crafted reminder.
