Glittering Gold Lace Wedding dress
Bride Emily shares her Wedding Journey and how her sparkling gold wedding dress came to be.
Designing the Dress
I knew I didn’t want white (and who doesn’t love a bit of embellishment?!)
I did a big, fat Instagram stalk which led me to Wilden London. I tried on some dresses elsewhere but couldn’t get one that I had seen Charlotte make out of my brain! I loved the fine details and use of colour.
The Engagement
It was very surprising! Saul hid any suspicious activity under the guise of his birthday, though I do remember thinking he kept making weird eyes at me haha.
We had been together for 9 years at the time and every year we go to Snoopers in Brighton and get a photobooth pic together. This time he said he had to go in for a work headshot, but when I grabbed the shots from the booth flap he was holding up signs in the photos saying will-you-marry-me? When I looked up he was getting down!
He designed a cheeky little pepper diamond ring with jewellery maker Karl Karter at London Rocks
The Wedding Vision
We wanted a big party with everyone we love!
We also love colour, water and nature so our venue The Matara Centre was the perfect find.
My finished dress made me feel like a royal badass. The fit, the colour, the sparkle, the veil!
I wore with earrings gifted by my sweet husband from Wanderlust and kept it simple with shoes from Steve Madden
I wore my hair in loose waves from hair stylist Linus (whose hands had been on the legendary head of Bimini Bon Boulash).
Makeup was by Victoria Abbosh - from a photo of Natalie Portman to inspire the vibe.
The glorious Dom Moore at Rame Wedding photography was our wedding photographer.
