Edwardian Lace Embroidery

Amber was a very whimsical bride, meetings with her were laid back and lovely like catching up with an old friend. We drank tea, and ate biscuits, while pouring over lots of ideas.

Amber wanted comfortable wedding dress, and by that - I don’t mean boring! Something that she could move around in, dance, eat - enjoy herself, but to still look elegant and special.

We chose and empire line silhouette, with a waistline that curves downwards, which is so flattering on everbody! And we chose a sweetheart neckline, which wasn’t too girly, but just womanly enough that it wasn’t too sexy either.

The main feature of the dress was the embroidered waistband. Amber’s Mother, Charity, donated her own Edwardian Lace Veil which she had worn at her own wedding, and allowed me to shop it up into small pieces, and re-work it into a pretty waistband for Amber. Swarovski Crystals in shades of silver were embroidered, encrusting the centers of the flowers that they reflected the light subtly as Amber glided along.
